WILDCATS WIN THIRD IN A ROW WITH SWEEP OF DOMINICAN
New Castle, DE (10/18/08) The Wildcats of Wilmington University won their third match in a row, with a 3-0 victory over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Gymnasium.

New Castle, DE (10/18/08) The Wildcats of Wilmington University won their third match in a row, with a 3-0 victory over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Gymnasium.
Wilmington won the first set 25-11, took the set two by a 25-18 margin, and completed the sweep with a 25-22 victory in the third and final set.
The Wildcats were led by senior middle hitter Ashley Carberry, who posted a match-high 11 kills and two blocks. Sophomore middle hitter Caitlin Hess added six kills and three blocks, while classmate Meghan Frick chipped in with 10 digs and four aces. Freshman setter Kerry Collins had 14 assists, while her classmate Shannon Rumple dished out seven and had six digs.
Dominican was paced by senior outside hitter Kinikia Collier's (Garnerville, NY) 10 kills and six digs. Sophomore Catherine Giordano (Stony Point, NY) added 12 digs, while Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) chipped in with 10 digs. Setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had 15 assists for the Chargers.
With the win, Wilmington improved to 7-4 in the CACC and 14-11 overall, while Dominican dropped to 0-10 in the conference and 0-20 on the season.
The Lady Chargers are bac in action on Tuesday when they travel to CACC opponent, Bloomfield College. Game time is set for 7:30 pm
