WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/12/15) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University, 4-0, this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action from the DC Soccer Field. With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

(9/12/15)  The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University, 4-0, this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action from the DC Soccer Field.  With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

GCU scored two goals in the first half and followed with two more in the second stanza in the 4-0 win.  Lizzy Kroon recorded the hat trick for the Lions with three of their four scores.

The Lions outshot DC 11-4 and held the 5-1 lead in corner kicks.

Lady Charger keeper Melissa Richards (Nanuet, N.Y.) made three saves in 68:28 minutes of action, while Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) came in for the final 21:32.

Kaitlyn Montera (New City, N.Y.) had two shots for the Lady Chargers, with one that was on goal and the other that hit the cross bar.

Dominican returns to action next Saturday when they host Philadelphia University in a CACC game on the DC Soccer Field.  Game time is set for 12pm.
