Nyack, N.Y. (9/17/13) The Lady Chargers soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host Nyack College, 4-2, this afternoon in a game played at Mosley Field. With the loss Dominican falls to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Warriors improve to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the CACC.
The game was scoreless through one the first half of play when Nyack exploded for three within the first 10 minutes of the second half to jump ahead 3-0.
Senior midfielder Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, N.J.) broke the run with her first goal of the season at the 58:51 mark to bring DC within two goals. NC added a goal to regain the 3-1 advantage with under 20 minutes remaining.
Snyder struck again in the 85th minute with her second game goal on a shot from the right side for the final 4-2 score.
The Warriors outshot the Lady Chargers 23-10 and held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Freshman keeper Gina Yannette (Dumont, N.J.) made seven saves in the loss.
Dominican is back in action on Saturday as they travel to non-conference foe, New York Institute of Technology.
