WOMEN'S SOCCER TOPS NYACK COLLEGE

Nyack, N.Y. (10/17/12) The Dominican College women's soccer team topped the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the DC Soccer Field. With the win, Dominican improves to 5-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play.

(10/17/12)   The Dominican College women's soccer team topped the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the DC Soccer Field.  With the win, Dominican improves to 5-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play.

Senior Jade Fletcher* (Ottawa, Canada) tallied the game winning goal at the 5:54 mark on a header off the corner kick by Nicolle Sanchez (Lyndhurst, N.J.) for the 1-0 victory.

Goalie Veronica Iozzi (Chester, N.J.) made five saves in the win.

The Warriors held a 12-7 advantage in shots and a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Saturday as they host Chestnut Hill College.
