LADY CHARGERS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM FINISH EIGHT AS CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Orangeburg, NY (10/25/08) The Dominican College women's cross country team finished in eighth place at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships which were held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, PA.

Philadelphia University took home the team title with a team score of 47, upsetting the 2006 and 2007 Champions, Georgian Court University who took second place with a score of 61. Felician College finished in third, while Wilmington University and Nyack College rounded out the top five teams.

The Lady Chargers finished in eighth place overall out of 12 teams. Alycia Shillingford was the top finisher for DC with a time of 22:06 to finish in 27th place. Freshman Samantha Klunk finished in 31st place with a time of 22:31 and Meghan Murphy ran a time of 25:01 to finish in 51st place. Maryanne Eaton finished in 60th place with a time of 26:02.
