LADY CHARGERS FINISH NINTH AT CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Philadelphia, Pa, (10/23/16)  The Dominican College women's cross country team finished in ninth place at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Cross Country Championships held today at Belmont Plateau and hosted by the University of the Sciences.

Dominican finished with a team score of 215 to finish ninth of 14 teams in the 5k race.  Philadelphia University won the championship.

Freshman Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers as she took 26th place overall with a time of 21:37.0.

Senior Emily Lopez* (Staten Island, N.Y.) had a time of 21:49.7 to finish in 33rd place overall, while Jessica Graci (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 39th place with a time of 22:11.0.

Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) finished in 53rd place with a time of 23:24.5 and Christina Burgos (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 64th place with a time of 24:21.2.

Allison Moroney (Pearl River, N.Y.) ran a time of 25:07.9 to finish in 68th place and Mary Curatolo (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished in 74th place with a time of 25:45.0.
