DC won the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 26-24, while the Cougars won the next two by scores of 25-15 and 25-13. Dominican rallied in the decisive fifth set for the 16-14 win and 3-2 match victory.

With the win, Dominican improves to 3-18 overall and 3-10 in conference play.

Set One:  Caldwell had a 23-22 edge when a service error re-tied the set at 23-all.  Consecutive block assists from Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) and Nia Reeves (Union City, N.J.) lifted DC to the 25-23 win.

Set Two:  Dominican trailed 3-1 when a 8-1 charge put the Chargers ahead 9-4.  The Cougars would rally twice and with the score 24-24, a kill from Boyd and a attack error would give the CHargers the 26-24 win and 2-0 match lead.

Set Five:  In the decisive set, Caldwell led 13-7 when five consecutive Charger points brought them within a point, 13-12.  CU recorded a kill to put them at match point, but a kill from Robinson and a service ace from Perez knotted the set at 14-all.  A kill from Robinson put DC at match point and following a Caldwell timeout an attack error gave Dominican the 16-14 win and 3-2 match victory.
