WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SUFFER SETBACK AT MAURADER CLASH

The women's volleyball team lost two matches tonight at the Maurader Clash

Millersville, Pa. (9/7/18) The Dominican College women's volleyball team suffered two losses at the Maurader Clash, hosted by Millersville University in Pucillo Gymnasium.

Following the losses, Dominican is now 0-6 on the season.

Match One:  Dominican fell to Lock Haven University, 3-0 (14-25, 15-25, 19-25) in their opening match of the tournament.

Freshman outside hitter Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) led Dominican with eight kills, a .231 attack percentage and added nine defensive digs.

Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) contributed five kills, while Lily Ainsworth (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a team best 13 assists.

Senior libero Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) had a team high 14 digs in the loss.

Match Two:  The Lady Chargers dropped a 3-0 (20-25, 10-25, 13-25) decision to the Panthers of Adelphi University in the nightcap.

Juniors Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) and Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) paced DC with four kills each.

Ainsworth tallied eight assists with Perez and Sara Hayward (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) each recording six digs.

Dominican will take on West Chester University and host, Millersville University tomorrow.
