PANTHERS TURN BACK LADY CHARGERS

Garden City, N.Y. (9/25/17) The Dominican College women's volleyball squad lost a non-conference match to host, Adelphi University, 3-0 this evening in a match played at the Center for Recreation and Sport.

Dominican (0-13) were defeated in consecutive sets by the scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-10 as the Panthers improve to 6-7 on the season.

Sophomores Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) and Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) led the Dominican offense with three kills each.

Ramiza Lekovic (Florida, N.Y.) and Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) both had eight digs in the loss with Perez adding two assists.

Setter Essence Boyd (Peekskill, N.Y.) had nine assists and two kills, while Lekovic and Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) also had two kills.

The Lady Chargers wll host Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match this coming Wednesday night at the Hennessy Center on Coach Baxter Court.
