CHARGERS FALL TO MOLLOY

Rockville Centre, N.Y. (9/6/17)  The Lady Chargers continued their 2017-2018 season tonight when they traveled to Molloy College for a match up against the Lions. After dropping the first four matches of the season, the Chargers had their sights set on the first win.

The Chargers were overmatched as the Lions swept them three sets to none.  Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, PA) recorded three service points, five kills, and 5.5 points. As for the rest of the team, they combined for 18 service points while Essence Boyd (Peekskill, NY) and Natalia Perez (Prosper, TX) recorded eight digs each.         

The Lions improved their record to 4-1 (0-0 ECC). Emily Meyer led the way for the Lions with 10 points, five kills, four digs and three of her points coming as service points. Teammate Devon Hagerstorm scored nine points in the win along with six kills. The Lions will look to continue their winning streak on Saturday September 9th when they play a doubleheader against Post University at 10:00 AM and Southern Connecticut State at 4:00 PM.

As for the Lady Chargers, they have some time between now and their next match against Assumption College on Monday September 11th. DC will be seeking their first win of the season as they continue on their season opening road trip.
