WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOSES TWO AT RAIDER CLASSIC

Shippensburg, Pa. (9/2/16)  The Dominican College women's volleyball squad dropped two games today at the Raider Classic hosted by Shippensburg University.  DC lost their season opener to Seton Hill University, 3-0 (16-25, 16-25, 14-25) and fell to Concord University, 3-0 (15-25, 14-25, 11-25) to fall to 0-2 on the season.

Match One

Freshman outside hitter Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) paced Dominican in the opening loss to SHU with eight kills and four service aces.

Senior Cortney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.) added six kills and three defensive digs.

Rookie Alexa Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) contributed a team leading 15 defensive digs and three kills, while Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had 13 digs in the loss.

Setter Kera Dexter* (Selah, Wash.) recorded 15 assists.

Match Two

Knopf led the Lady Chargers in the loss to Concord University with a career high nine kills and seven digs.

Yeoman finished with six kills, while Williams added four kills and five digs.

Kim had a season high 15 digs in the loss.

Dexter had a season high 17 assists.

DC will take on Southern New Hampshire University and Shippensburg University tomorrow.
