UNIVERSITY OF THE SCIENCES RALLY TO DEFEAT WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Orangeburg, NY (10/8/11) The University of the Sciences rallied from a 2-1 match deficit to defeat host, Dominican College, 3-2 this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball match played on Coach Baxter Court in the 3rd Annual Dig Pink Game.

Dominican took the first set 25-15, but the Devils answered back in set two with a 29-27 victory to tie the match at 1-1.
Tied at 10-all in the third set, DC went on an 11-5 run to pull ahead 21-15 and cruised to the 25-18 win and took a 2-1 match victory.
University of the Sciences jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the fourth set and never looked back to take the set 25-22 and force the decisive fifth set.
The Devils stayed hot as they opened the fifth set with a 5-1 lead, but Dominican came back with a 5-1 run of their own to tie the set at 6-6. Neither team led by more than three points and with the set tied at 15-15, a Devil kill and DC attack error led USCI to the 17-15 win and 3-2 match victory.
Junior outside hitter Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) led the Lady Chargers with 15 kills and 17 defensive digs. Freshman Kayla Dexter (Selah, WA) added 14 kills, while setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) contributed a match leading 47 assists and seven kills in the loss. Libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) recorded 15 digs, while N'Jameh Philip (Monroe, NY) had 12 digs.
With the victory Dominican falls to 11-10 overall and 7-3 in the CACC.
DC returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Chestnut Hill College for a 7pm match.
