Coach Phil Fluhr enters his fifth year at the helm of the Lady Charger soccer program.  He has over 23 years of coaching experience on both the high school and collegiate level and returned to Dominican after a four year absence in which he was the head coach at Wagner College.  He was the head girls’ coach a Newdorp High School in Staten Island and the head boys’ coach at Mount Loretto High School in Staten Island.

At the college level, Fluhr spent four years as head coach at Dominican (1995-1998) and compiled a record of 31-21-4.  In that time the Lady Chargers were CACC Champions and in the fall of 1998 were ranked 7th in the country. 

Coach Fluhr has also been the head coach of the Hazlet Select Team where they won three New Jersey State Championships.  He has also worked with the Mid New Jersey Select Program and the New Jersey Olympic Development for five years.  He is a holder of a national license with the USYSA and runs Soccer Excellence Schools and Clinics.

Fluhr played collegiate soccer at the College of Staten Island and received his B.A. in English from Brooklyn College.  He also holds a M.A. in English from Wagner College and a M.S. in Guidance Counseling from the College of Staten Island.  He resides in Matawan, New Jersey with his wife and daughter, Maren.
