Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/10/16) The Dominican College women's soccer squad fell in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opening game this afternoon to the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University, 3-1, in a game played on the DC Soccer Field.
The Wildcat offense fired off 13 shots in the first half and two found their way into the Charger net for the 2-0 lead.
Dominican got on the scoreboard at the 64:06 mark when sophomore mdifielder Jenna Gray (Pine Bush, N.Y.) netted her first goal of the season.
Foward Renna Jiries (Howell, N.J.) led Dominican with three shots in the game.
Sophomore keeper Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) tied her career high with 13 saves in the game.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in CACC play.
DC returns to action on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Concordia College.
