WOMEN'S SOCCER FALL TO CALDWELL COLLEGE

Orangeburg, NY (9/22/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Cougars of Caldwell College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game held on the DC Soccer Field.

Orangeburg, NY (9/22/10)  The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Cougars of Caldwell College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game held on the DC Soccer Field.

The game was scoreless until the 50:54 mark when junior Nikki D'Orsaneo (Bowie, MD) knotched the game winning goal off a shot that went past the Lady Charger keeper and found the left corner of the net.

Dominican outshot the visiting Couagars 11-7 and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Lady Charger keeper Veronica Iozzi (Chester, NJ) made one save.

Cougar keeper Kristina Cabales (Islip Terrace, NY) had six saves in the victory.

With the loss Dominican falls to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the CACC, while Caldwell improves to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

DC is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Holy Family University in a CACC contest.
