Hillburn, N.Y. (3/17/14)  The Philadelphia University Rams defeated the Dominican College Lady Chargers lacrosse team, 20-14, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in CACC play.

Junior attacker Allison Smithwick (Commack, N.Y.) led Dominican with four goals and one assist.

Gina Sparaco (Freeport, N.Y.) added three goals, while Christina Brennan (Washington Township, N.J.) scored two goals and one assist.

Traci-Joan Muniz* (Middlesex, N.Y.) netted one goal and two assists in the loss.

Emily Murray (Oakdale, N.Y.), Amber June (Stony Point, N.Y.), Kelly Barbarite (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Haliann Fitzgerald (Walden, N.Y.) all scored a goal in the game.

Goalie Brittany Kiernan (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the loss.

Dominican will be back in action on Thursday as they host Saint Michael's College in a non-conference game scheduled for 4pm at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.
