Springfield, Mass. (12/18/16)  Dominican College senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) netted her 1,000th career point this afternoon in a 45-42 loss to host American International College at the AIC Holiday Classic which concluded today.

Bouffard recorded the milestone with 6:40 to play in the final quarter as her layup brought the Lady Chargers with in a point (41-40).  She becomes the 27th player in Lady Charger history to record 1,000 points.

Dominican (1-10) trailed 45-40 with under four minutes to play and guard Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) netted two free throws to bring the team within three points (45-42) with 1:06 to go.  The team was able to get off three three-point attempts before time expired, but were unable to connect as they YellowJackets went on to the 45-42 win.

Guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) led the team with nine points, a career high eight steals and six assists.

Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) added seven points and a team high five rebounds.

Bouffard finished with six points, while Rywalt contributed six assists and three steals.

Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) came off the bench to score six points each in the loss.

DC will travel to non-conference opponent, Southern Connecticut State University, on December 29th.
