Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/10/16)  The Dominican College women's basketball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game to the visiting Bears of Bloomfield College, 75-54, this afternoon in a game played on Coach Baxter Court.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 1-8 overall and 1-3 in CACC play.

The Lady Chargers led 11-8 with 4:40 to go in the first quarter when the Bears hit a three-point basket to tie the game with 3:43 to go.  The game was tied 19-19 with 50 ticks left in the quarter, but a Bloomfield and-one play would give them a 22-19 edge.

The second quarter belonged to the Bears as they outscored Dominican 22-8 to take a 44-27 lead into the lockerroom.

BC would nip DC 15-11 in scoring in the third frame and both teams scored 16 points in the final quarter for the final 75-54 score.

Senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) led two Lady Chargers in double figures with 13 points and grabbed a team best eight rebounds.

Guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) added 11 points, four assists and three steals.

Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had an afternoon best eight assists.

Dominican shot 37.3% (22-59) from the floor for the contest and were 5-17 (29.4%) from the three point arc.
