Owls Stay Undefeated with 74-48 Win Over Dominican
New Haven, CT (12/22/06) The Southern Connecticut State University womens basketball team remained undefeated as they handed Dominican College their third loss of the season, 74-48. With the win, the Owls improve to 10-0 on the year and remain 7-0 in the NE-10. The Lady Chargers fall to 7-3 overall and remain 4-2 in the CACC.

New Haven, CT (12/22/06) The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team remained undefeated as they handed Dominican College their third loss of the season, 74-48. With the win, the Owls improve to 10-0 on the year and remain 7-0 in the NE-10. The Lady Chargers fall to 7-3 overall and remain 4-2 in the CACC.
Babette Noah (Yaounde, Cameroon) scored 25 points to lead the Owls while Kate Lynch (Rumford, R.I.) added 20 points and Shamika Jackson (Manchester, Conn.) dropped 16 points. Noah also grabbed eight rebounds on the night.
The first half was a battle for the Owls, as their biggest lead came with just 28 seconds remaining at 33-26 when Noah connected on a lay up after a missed three point attempt by Allyson Smith.
Southern Connecticut went on a 10-0 run to open the second half as Lynch and Noah teamed up to score all 10 points with Lynch scoring eight of the 10.
Jackie Tracey-Spitaleri (Bronx, N.Y.) led the way for the Lady Chargers with 10 points. Adele Laskowski (Wayne, N.J.) added eight points for Dominican while Beth DaPalo (Rumson, N.J.) had six points.
Southern took their biggest lead of the game with 5:18 remaining when Noah hit two free throws to put the Owls up 70-41.
The Lady Chargers are back in action on Saturday, January 6 when they travel to the University of Bridgeport for a 1pm game.
