Holy Family Defeats Dominican Lady Chargers
Philadelphia Holy Family got a game-high 25 points from guard Kelly Killion (Jr./Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) as the Tigers (23-2, 20-0 CACC) put up 53 first-half points en route to a 86-49 defeat of Dominican (NY) (16-8, 12-7 CACC) Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.

Dominican (NY) (16-8, 12-7 CACC) Saturday afternoon at the
Campus
Center.
The 12th-ranked Tigers finished their regular-season home schedule
with
a perfect 13-0 mark.
Killion scored 21 of her 25 points from three-pointers, and
finished
7-for-10 from behind the arc.
On Senior Day, center Megan Bauer (Sr./Norwood, PA/Ridley) scored
14
points and grabbed six rebounds, while forward Melissa Brooks
(So./Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) had 13 points and tied for the
team-high
in rebounds with eight.
Tiger guard Lauren Boyer also added in ten points as the Tigers
put
four starters in double figures. Forward Chrissy Kosiek
(Jr./Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert’s) had nine points and tied
with
Brooks with eight rebounds. The Tigers outrebounded the
Chargers 50-26
on the afternoon, including 25-6 advantage at the half.
Holy Family, who led wire-to-wire, jumped out an early 10-2 lead
and
never looked back. The Tigers got the lead into double digits at
22-11
with 11:02 left on a three-pointer by Killion. That point would
mark the
closest Dominican would get the rest of the way.
Holding a 53-35 halftime lead, Holy Family started out the second
half
on a 13-2 run to go up 66-37.
For Dominican, Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) had a
team-high 12 points, while Jackie
Tracey-Spitalieiri (Bronx, NY) and Beth DePalo
(Rumson, NJ) each had nine.
