Second Half Rally Leads Devils to Victory Over Lady Chargers
Blauvelt, NY (2/10/07) University of the Sciences in Philadelphia womens basketball players, Allison Weiss (Springfield, MA) and Erin Chesnavich (Pittston, PA) combined for 21 points as the Devils rallied in the second half to beat the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 59-52 this afternoon on Coach Baxter Court in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference womens action
Freshman
Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) led the team with 16
points and seven rebounds, while senior Jackie
Tracey-Spitaleri (Bronx, NY) contributed 11 points and six
assists in the loss. In the first half,
Tracey-Spitaleri’s became the school’s
All-Time Assist Leader, needing just two assists before the game
began.
Weiss led the Devils
with a 16 points and eight rebound performance, while
Chesnavich and Shelby Rance (Bloomsburgh,
PA) each netted 13 points and seven rebounds in the
win.
With the win, the Devils improve to 16-8 overall and 13-6 in the
CACC, while the Lady Chargers fall to 16-7 overall and 12-6 in the
CACC, snapping an eight game win streak.
The Lady Chargers are back in action on Tuesday when they host Georgian Court University in CACC women’s action. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
