COLLEGE OF ST. ROSE DEFEATS LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL, 3-0
 
Blauvelt, NY (8/29/07)       The visiting Golden Knights of the College of St. Rose opened up the 2007 season with a 3-0 (30-24, 30-23, 30-8) victory over the Dominican College Lady Chargers this evening on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.                                                                                                                     

Senior outside hitter Stephanie Brink (Port Ewen, NY) led all attackers with 14 kills for the Golden Knights.  Fellow senior Sally Munter (Chesapeake, VA) added nine kills, while sophomore Jaclyn Griffin (Glen Mills, PA) had eight kills.  Junior setter Jessica Weaver (Dolgeville, NY) had a game leading 31 assists in the win.

The Lady Chargers were led by junior Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) with five kills, while junior Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) had four kills.  Junior setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had a team leading 10 assists in the loss. 

With the win, the Golden Knights improve to 1-0 on the year, while the Lady Chargers fall to 0-1.

Dominican is back in action on Wednesday, September 5th when they travel to Fairleigh Dickinson University-Madison for a 7pm match.
