WOMEN'S TRACK FINISH 17TH AT ROADRUNNER INVITATIONAL

Mahwah, N.J. (4/5/14)  The Dominican College women's track team placed 17th at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College of New Jersey yesterday.

In the 100 meter dash preliminary event, Erica Pate (Bronx, N.Y.) ran a time of 14.14 to finish in 45th place and Catherine Ortiz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished in 49th place with a time of 15.21.

Junior Renee Roncace (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) ran in the 400 meter dash and took 24th place with a time of 1:06.17.  Senior Jessica Avila (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) finished in 29th place with a time of 1:11.26.

Krystal Campbell (New Windsor, N.Y.) ran the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:26.49 to place 32nd and Karen Acevedo (Middletown, N.Y.) took 58th place with a time of 6.11.90.

In the shot put event, Simonne Moore (Bronx, N.Y.) took 16th place with a throw of 9.39m. Gina Yannette (Dumont, N.J.) finished in 19th place with a throw of 8.76m.

Yannette had the high finish as she took fourth in the javelin throw with a throw of 37.00m.
