2012 CACC SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR APRIL 26-28 AT GEORGIAN COURT

New Haven, CT (4/25/12) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season champion, Dominican College will be the No. 1 seed at the 2012 CACC Softball Championship, which is slated to begin this Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.

New Haven, CT (4/25/12)  Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season champion, Dominican College will be the No. 1 seed at the 2012 CACC Softball Championship, which is slated to begin this Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.

The double-elimination tournament begins on Thursday, April 26 on the Georgian Court University campus with eight games, beginning at 10 a.m.

Four games are slated for Friday, April 27 and another two, with the possibility of a third, on Saturday, April 28.

A pair of CACC squads enter the postseason ranked in the NCAA Regional rankings as Caldwell, the tourney's No. 2 seed, checks in at No. 5 in the latest NCAA East Regional Poll, while Dominican is slotted at No. 7.

The winner of the 2012 CACC Softball Tournament will earn the conference's automatic berth into the 2012 NCAA Division II Softball Championship.
