CHARGERS DROP NON-CONFERENCE GAME TO BRIDGEPORT

Bridgeport, Conn. (9/25/18) The Chargers fell to the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday in a non-conference game by a score of 8-1. Bridgeport started the game with three goals in the first half and followed it up with five goals in the second half.

The Purple Knights scored the first three goals of the game to take an early 3-0 lead over the Chargers. Daniel Mistretta (North Babylon, N.Y.) ended the Bridgeport run and got the Chargers on the board at the 34:04 mark of the game.

The Purple Knights took a 3-1 lead into halftime and extended their lead out to 8-1 with five straight goals. The Purple Knights improved their record to 5-2 on the season with the win.

Nikolai Vadseth led his team with three goals in the win. Oscar Facey scored two goals for the Purple Knights. Jesse Clark, Leandro Avila, and Tom Godden scored one goal each in the win.

The Chargers will be back in action on Thursday, September 27th when they host Hartwick College at 2:15 PM.
