GOLDEN FALCONS NET TWO SECOND HALF SCORES TO UPEND CHARGERS

Lyndhurst, N.J. (9/13/17) The Felician University men's soccer team netted two second half goals to upend the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 2-1, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.

With the loss, the Chargers are now 0-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Dominican was first to get on the scoreboard as freshman Patryk Tomczak (Stamford, Conn.) recorded his first of the season off the corner kick assist from Sergio Monton (Madrid, Spain) at the 12:25 mark.  Tomczak would lead the team with three shots, two of which were on goal in the game.

The Chargers would maintain the lead until the 58th minute when Felician's Christ McLaughlin netted his third goal of the season on a shot into the lower right of the night.  30 minutes later, McLaughlin would record the game-winner for the 2-1 victory.

The Golden Falcons outshot the Chargers, 18-10 and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Keeper Joshua Stephens (Stony Creek, Ontario) had six saves in the loss.

DC will travel to conference opponent, Chestnut Hill College, this coming Saturday.
