North Andover, MA (9/3/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team fell to host, Merrimack College, 3-0 this afternoon in the finale of the Merrimack Classic. Following the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-1-1 on the season, while the Warriors improve to 1-0-1 on the season.
The Warriors tallied their first goal of the game in the 12th minute of action and held a 2-0 lead at the intermission. The final goal of the game came in the 61st minute of play for the 3-0 Merrimack victory.
Senior goalie Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) made 10 saves in the loss.
Dominican is back in action next Friday, September 9th when they take on non-conference opponent, Molloy College. Game time is set for 2:30 pm.
