THREE MEN'S SOCCER PLAYERS NAMED TO 2009 DAKTRONICS, INC EAST REGION SECOND TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (11/17/09) Dominican College men's soccer players, Joe Wright, Clifton Huxtable and Brandon Heembrock have all been named to the 2009 Daktronics, Inc East Region Second Team as was announced today.

Voting was powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM and conducted among sports information directors at NCAA Division II institutions that are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate (CACC), East Coast and Northeast 10 Conferences.
Wright, a senior forward from Stratford-Upon-Avon,
England, led the team and ranked second in the CACC with 16 goals
on the year. He also leads the team and ranks second in the
conference in points (36), third in the CACC points per game (2.00)
and goals per game (0.84). He led the team with 67 shots this
season and ranked fourth in the CACC, while being ranked second in
the conference with five game-winning goals.
Wright's recently earned his third
consecutive appearance on the All-CACC First Team and this is his
third appearance on the Daktronics East Region Second Team.
Huxtable, a junior defender who hails from
Toronto, Ontario, has started all 19 games this season. He is
a crucial part of a Charger defense that has allowed just 16 goals
all season and has helped the team record six shutouts this
year. He recently earned his first appearance on the All-CACC
First Team.
Heembrock, a sophomore keeper from Ottawa, Canada,
has started all 19 games in the net this season. He led the
conference in save percentage (.869) and shutouts (6) and finished
second in goals against average (0.82). He ranked third in
saves (106) and fourth in saves per game (5.58). He was named
to the All-CACC First Team this season after earning All-CACC
Second Team honors in 2008.
