Clancy And Bennett Share CACC Men's Soccer Player of the Week Accolades

New Haven, CT (9/18/06) Ryan Clancy of Dominican College and Chad Bennett of Caldwell College are the co-Players of the Week in men's soccer for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 17. Justin Miller of Caldwell is the Rookie of the Week selection.

New Haven, CT (9/18/06)  Ryan Clancy of Dominican College and Chad Bennett of Caldwell College are the co-Players of the Week in men's soccer for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 17. Justin Miller of Caldwell is the Rookie of the Week selection.

 Clancy, a junior forward from Pine Bush, NY, and Bennett, a sophomore from Kingston, Jamaica, both recorded game-winning goals last week and finished with one goal and one assist each. Both netted their game-winners against Saint Anselm.

Miller, a freshman midfielder from Monroe, NJ, scored his first career goal in a victory against Saint Anselm.

Honorable Mention

Daniel Martins, Post (So., F/M, 5-7, Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) - Scored two goals in three games last week, with both goals coming in a victory over Nyack.

CACC Men's Soccer Notes

Post - Post improved to 3-0 in the CACC with a 4-0 win over Nyack College last Thursday afternoon. Post dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Bentley on the road last Tuesday as Bentley scored the game winner with just 56 seconds left on the clock. Daniel Martins had two goals and Maurice Johnson and Raleigh Woodburn each added a goal against Nyack. On Saturday, the Eagles tied Molloy College 1-1 on the road. Alex Brito found the back of the net for the Eagles, but Molloy converted a penalty kick at the 75:43 mark. Post returns to the pitch this Saturday with a CACC clash at Dominican College
