MEN'S LACROSSE OPENS 2010 SEASON WITH VICTORY OVER DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA
Neptune, NJ (3/7/10) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team opened up the 2010 season with a non-conference victory over Dominican University of California, 13-4, this afternoon in a neutral site game held at Neptune High School.

Senior midfielder Remo Montalbano (Saugerties, NY) led the Chargers with four goals and one assist. Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB) and junior Daniel Metoyer (San Diego, CA) each tallied three goals, while Chris Jones (Saugerties, NY), Korin Pierce (Middleburg, VA) and Connor Lawlor (Neptune City, NJ) each had a goal in the victory.
Pierce added a team leading three assists with Metoyer and Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) each adding two assists. Montalbano, Alex Jones and Elliot Shephard (Allentown, PA) all recorded an assist in the victory.
Goalie Brendan Bonacum (Port Jefferson Station, NY) made 10 saves in the win.
With the win Dominican now stands at 1-0 on the year.
DC is back in action on Tuesday when they have their home and East Coast Conference (ECC) opener against Chestnut Hill College. Game time is slated for 4pm at the Torne Valley Sports Complex, in Hillburn, NY.
