CHARGERS LACROSSE DROP THIRD STRAIGHT GAME
Greensburg, PA (4/6/08) The Dominican College Lacrosse team dropped their third straight game this afternoon after losing to Seton Hill University, 8-7 in overtime.
The Chargers ended the first quarter with a 3-2 lead, but Seton Hill University netted two goals in the second to take a 4-3 lead at the intermission. After scoring two goals each in the third and fourth quarter, DC forced the game into overtime where the Griffins were able to pull out the 8-7 victory.
Owen Smith III (Cornwall, NY) led the Chargers with two goals and one assist. Remo Montalbano (Saugerties, NY), Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB), Pat O'Shea (Dix Hills, NY) and Dave Marrese (Winnipeg, MB) had the other Charger goals, while Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Canada) led the team with two assists.
Charger goalie Joe Assante (Hicksville, NY) had 16
saves for the team.
With the loss, the Chargers drop to 3-5 on the season.
The team is back in action next Saturday when they travel to
Franklin Pierce University. Game time is set for 3pm in
Rindge, NH.
