Chargers Lacrosse Fall To #1 Mercyhurst College, 17-7

Erie, PA (4/29/07) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell to East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent #1 Mercyhurst College, 17-7 this afternoon at Tullio Field. With the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the ECC, while Mercyhurst improves to 11-1 overall and 5-0.

Erie, PA (4/29/07)  The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell to East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent #1 Mercyhurst College, 17-7 this afternoon at Tullio Field.  With the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the ECC, while Mercyhurst improves to 11-1 overall and 5-0.

Sophomore Owen Smith III (Cornwall, NY) led the Chargers with three goals and one assist in the loss.  

Charger goals were scored by Remo Montalbano (Saugerties, NY), Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB), Joe Cobis (Riverhead, NY) and Jeremy Arcaro (New Windsor, NY).

Kyle Miller (Copaigue, NY) had two assists, while Sean Murphy (Pearl River, NY), Francisco Silva (Port Washington, NY) and Montalbano all had assists.

DC goalie Joe Assante (Weston, NY) had 13 saves in the loss.

Dominican is back in action on Thursday, May 3rd when they travel to Montclair State University.
