Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/15/17)  The Dominican College men's basketball squad saw their four-game winning streak come to an end this evening as they fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to the visiting Eagles of Post University, 73-65, this evening in a game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

The first half proved lethal for the Chargers as they saw a 10-7 advantage with 14:07 left turn into a 38-23 deficit by the break.

Dominican (16-10, 11-6 CACC) rallied in the second stanza used an 11-3 run sealed by a dunk from freshman guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) to cut the deficit to 60-58 with under five minutes to go.  From there DC would cut the lead to three two more times but would be unable to come up with the win.

Grant finished the game with a team best 22 points.

Forward Travis Cook (Middletown, N.Y.) scored 20 points, while Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) grabbed a night best 15 rebounds to go with nine points.

Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.) had a team high five assists in the loss.

The Chargers will host Nyack College this coming Saturday as the team will celebrate Senior Day.
