MEN'S BASKETBALL COMPLETES REGULAR SEASON WITH VICTORY
Orangeburg, NY (2/21/12) The Dominican College men's basketball team completed regular season play with an 89-53 victory over the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College this evening on Senior Night at the Hennessy Center. The victory allows the Chargers to improve to 18-8 overall and finish the regular season with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference record of 11-7.

The Chargers never trailed in the game as they netted the contest's first 10 points and led 33-18 with under six minutes left in the first stanza. DC closed out first half play with a 7-2 spurt to hold a 43-28 lead.
Felician opened the second half with the first seven points to cut the defict to 43-36, but Dominican responded with an 17-4 tear, capped off by seven straight DC points from guard Leon Porter II* (Laurel, MD) build a 20 point (60-40) lead. The Chargers led by as many as 30 points twice during the remaining 10 minutes of action en route to the 89-53 win.
Porter led all scorers and four Chargers in double figures with 34 points as he went 9-13 from the three point arc. Center and CACC Player of the Week, Cory Quimby* (Otisville, NY) recorded his 17th double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Daniel Woods (Upper Marlboro, MD) and A.J. Burton (New Rochelle, NY) came off the bench to net 10 points a-piece, while Gerald Hill (Baltimore, MD) grabbed six caroms.
Before the game, the Chargers honored senior Michael Calzonetti* (Gloucester, NJ).
DC will open CACC playoff action this Saturday with a home game against the No. 3 seed from the CACC South Division. Game time will be 7pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
