CHARGERS BASKETBALL TURN BACK FELICIAN COLLEGE
Rutherford, NJ (2/14/12) The Dominican College men's basketball team defeated host, Felician College, 74-55, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played in Job Gym. With the victory Dominican improves to 15-8 overall and 8-7 in conference play, while Felician falls to 6-17 overall and 3-12 in the CACC.

Dominican held a 5-4 early lead when they charged ahead with a 15-5 run, capped off by a Daniel Woods (Upper Marlboro, MD) layup, which put the Chargers ahead 20-9 with 10:33 left in the first half. DC continued with the dominating offense as they held a 41-19 lead at halftime.
A 13-6 Charger run to start the second half put them up 25 points (54-25) with 12:38 to go and would continue to hold a double-digit lead the rest of the way en route to the 74-55 win.
Center Cory Quimby* (Otisville, NY) led the Chargers with 20 points.
Guard Leon Porter II* (Laurel, MD) finished with eights points, along with Woods who also scored eight points off the bench in the victory. Johnathan Brown (Central Islip, NY) added seven points, while Michael Calzonetti*(Gloucester, NJ) netted a team leading six rebounds and seven points.
DC is back in action on Thursday when they play on the road in a conference game at Caldwell College. Tip-off is set for 8pm.
