MEN'S BASKETBALL RALLY TO UPEND UNIVERSITY OF THE SCIENCES
Philadelphia, PA (2/4/12) The Dominican College men's basketball team rallied from a nine point deficit at half time to defeat host, University of Sciences, 70-60 this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played at Morgan Arena. With the victory, Dominican improves to 13-7 overall and 6-6 in the CACC, while the Devils fall to 3-16 overall and 1-11.

With the victory, Dominican improves to 13-7 overall and 6-6 in the CACC, while the Devils fall to 3-16 overall and 1-11.
The game was tied 11-11 with 14:57 left in the first half when the Devils went on a 10-2 run to claim a 21-13 lead and went into the break with a 39-31 advantage.
USCI led by as many as 14 points (54-10) with 12:58 to go when the Chargers charged back with a 14-0 run to tie the score at 54-all with just under eight minutes to play. A Devil free throw put them ahead by a point, but sophomore Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, NY) hit a three point bucket to give Dominican their first lead of the second half (57-55) with 5:53 to go.
Ginyard added to the lead with another trey to put the Chargers ahead 60-55 and they closed out the game outscoring USCI, 10-5, for the 70-60 victory.
Ginyard led all scorers and three Chargers in double figures with 19 points, shooting 6-12 from the three point arc and 1-2 from the charity stripe. Senior Michael Calzonetti* (Gloucester, NJ) had the team's only double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while guard Leon Porter II* (Laurel, MD) added 10 points and six assists in the win.
Center Cory Quimby* (Otisville, NY) had a team leading 12 rebounds and seven points, while A.J. Burton (New Rochelle, NY) came off the bench to grab nine caroms.
Dominican returns to action on Thursday evening when they host CACC North Division rival, Nyack College. Game time is slated for 8pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
