The Eagles held a 9-7 lead after a three point basket from CACC Co-Rookie of the Year, Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, NY) with 14:21 left in the first half, but a 14-6 run by Post gave them a 10-point cushion (23-13). The Eagles closed out the remaining 3:08 of the first stanza outscoring DC 9-3 to hold a 39-23 lead at the break.
A 5-0 run to start the second half gave Post their biggest lead of the game, 44-23, with 19:21 to go and they would hold a double-digit lead until the 3:37 mark. Down, 68-58, the Chargers charged back with a 10-1 run, going 6-6 from the charity stripe, to cut the deficit to a single point (69-68) with 0:11 seconds left in regulation.
A DC foul put the Eagles at the line where they converted both free throws to make the score 71-68 with 10 ticks on the clock and a Dominican three point attempt fell short as time expired.
All CACC second team pick, Leon Porter (Laurel, MD) led all scorers with 19 points and had a game leading eight assists. Sophomore forward Cory Quimby (Otisville, NY) had a strong performance with the game's only double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds.
