Blauvelt, NY(1/27/07) The Dominican College Chargers trumped the Wilmington College Wildcats, 87-69 this afternoon on Coach Baxter Court in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men’s action.
DC held a commanding 45-30 lead behind the play of senior Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) who netted 21 points in the half. Dominican shot 50% from the floor, while the Wildcats shot 44.1%.
The Wildcats were led by junior Taurean Temple (New Castle, DE) with a game leading 35 points. Michael Keyes (Philadelphia, PA) added 13 points and a team leading eight rebounds in the loss. Antonio Sherrod (Baltimore, MD) scored 12 points and five rebounds.
The Chargers were led by Jackson with a season high 30 points and seven rebounds. Junior Ron Wyatt (Washingtonville, NY) had12 points and nine rebounds in the win, while junior Shelton Gibbs (Jersey City, NJ) added 11 points and seven rebounds. Shooter Will Carty (Bronx, NY) contributed 10 points and three steals.
With the win, the Chargers improve to 9-10 overall and 7-6 in the CACC, while the Wildcats fall to 0-20 overall and 0-13 in the CACC.
