GOLF TAKES SECOND IN CHARGER CHALLENGE

Suffern, N.Y. (10/1/16)  The Dominican College golf team took second place in the 9th Annual Charger Challenge played yesterday and today at Spook Rock Golf Course.

The Chargers came back in round two with a team score of 293 (25 strokes better than yesterday's score) to finish the Challenge with a combined score of 611 to take second place.  Concordia College took home the team title with a score of 604. 

Nyack College finished in third place (618), followed by Goldey-Beacom College (619), Post University (632), Chestnut Hill College (649), Philadelphia University (659) and Felician University (671).

Sophomore Leonard Lee (Wyckoff, N.J.) finished in a tie for second place with a two-day total of 146 (+2) with scores of 75 and 71.

Daniel Parker (Ocean City, Md.) shot rounds of 78 and 74 to tie for seventh place with a 152 (+8) total score.

Teammate Hunter Wescott (Portland, Ore.) tied for 12th place with a total 155 (81, 74) score.

Nolmans Lode (Brussels, Belgium) tied for 21st place with scores of 84 and 77 for a 161 score and Jayce Robinson (Sparks, Nevada) shot an 88 and 74 for a 162 score and tied for 24th place.

Senior Colin Costigan (Point Pleasant, N.J.) tied for 33rd place (167 score), while Kenneth Platt (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.) finished with a 172 (92, 80) to tie for 40th place and Arthur Albero (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 46th place with a 176 (91, 85) total score.

Dominican will travel to Philadelphia this coming Tuesday to play at the Ace Club.
