GOLF IN TIE FOR SIXTH PLACE AFTER ROUND ONE OF NEIGC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Berlin, Conn. (9/16/12)  The Dominican College golf team is in a two-way tie for sixth place after round one of the Northeast Intercollegiate Golf Championships (NEIGC) being played at the Timberlin Country Club.  The Chargers shot a first round score of 321 to sit in a tie with Saint Anselm College.

UMASS-Lowell holds the top spot after the first round with a combined score of 304.

Sophomore Eric Reiher (Milford, Pa.) is tied for 11th place with a score of 78.

Keith Prokop (Ramsey, N.J.) had a first round score of 79 to be in a tie for 14th place, while freshman Brian McGuigan (Hawthorne, N.J.) is tied for 27th place with a score of 81.

Tied for 36th place with a round of 83 is sophomore Anthony Schifano (Ramsey, N.J.) and senior Jeffrey Sabella (Budd Lake, N.J.) is in 47th place witha round one score of 90.

Dominican is back in action for round two tomorrow morning.
