CHARGERS GOLF FINISH FIFTH AT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE SPRING INVITATIONAL

Ocean City, MD (3/22/09) The Dominican College men's golf team finished fifth out of eight teams at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational held this weekend at the Rum Pointe Golf Course.
Host St. Thomas Aquinas took the time title with a two day score of 603 (304, 299). Goldey-Beacom College finished in second 618 (314, 304), Fairleigh Dickinson took third 622 (314, 308), Lafayette College held the fourth spot 626 (321, 305), Dominican finished with a team score of 627 (317, 310) to take fifth, followed by Wilmington University 629 (316, 313), Southern New Hampshire 635 (323, 312), Nyack College 637 (326, 311) and Holy Family University 699 (355, 344).
Sophomore Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) was the top finisher for DC firing off rounds of 73 and 75 for a 148 total score to put him in third place individually. Freshman Cory Fitzgerald (Sherburne, NY) finished in 20th place with a two-day total of 158 (79, 79), while senior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) finished in a tie for 31st place with a combined score of 162 (83, 79). Sophomore Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) finished in a tie for 33rd place with rounds of 87 and 77 for a total score of 164 and freshman Bryan Romagnoli (Waldwick, NJ) finished in 49th place with a total score of 198 (105, 93).
DC is back in action on March 30 as they travel to the Goldey-Beacom College Spring Invitational held at the Hartefeld National Golf Course.
