Dominican's Mackey Qualifies For NCAA Men's Golf Regional Tournament 

Blauvelt, NY (4/28/07)  Dominican College golfer, Brian Mackey, has qualified as an individual for the upcoming NCAA men's golf Northeast Regional Tournament, the NCAA announced Friday afternoon.

The Northeast and East Regional Tournaments will be held at Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, WV, on Monday-Wednesday, May 7-9. The winner of each region will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will take place May 22-25 in Allendale, MI. 

Mackey, a junior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, will play in the tournament as an individual after an outstanding season. The top-five individuals who are not members of a qualifying team are selected in each region. The other individuals selected to play in this year’s tournament are Jantzen Vargas of Adelphi, Chris Menne of UMass-Lowell, Tom Pollock of New Haven and Jamie Bacon of Saint Rose
