PIONEERS BLANK CHARGERS BASEBALL

Brookville, NY (3/9/12) The visiting Chargers of Dominican College fell to C.W. Post University, 8-0, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at the baseball field on the campus of C.W. Post University. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 5-3 overall, while the Chargers fall to 1-4 on the season.

Brookville, NY (3/9/12)  The visiting Chargers of Dominican College fell to C.W. Post University, 8-0, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at the baseball field on the campus of C.W. Post University.  With the win, the Pioneers improve to 5-3 overall, while the Chargers fall to 1-4 on the season.

The Pioneers outhit the Chargers, 9-3 in the game.

C.W. Post scored four runs in the first two innings to go ahead 4-0 and added two runs a-piece in the fourth and sixth innings for the 8-0 victory.

Freshmen Oliver Christensen (Coral Springs, FL), Tom Liang (Bronx, NY) and Peter Martinez (White Plains, NY) each had a hit for Dominican in the loss.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Anthony Pastrana (Queens, NY) fell to 0-2 on the season in four innings of work, allowing six runs on seven hits and four strikeouts.

DC returns to non-conference action tomorrow when they take on Saint Anselm College and Merrimack College at 11am and 5pm at The Rock in Chester, NY.
