Felician Drops League Opener To Dominican, 10-3
Lyndhurst, NJ (3/26/07) The Dominican (N.Y.) College baseball team scored three runs in each of the first two innings en route to a 10-3 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over host Felician College on Monday afternoon at Breslin Field. The game was first CACC contest for both schools as well as Felicians home opener.

College baseball team scored three runs in each of the first two innings en route to a 10-3 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over host Felician College on Monday afternoon at Breslin Field. The game was first CACC contest for both schools as well as Felician’s home opener.
A two-out, two-run double by Sean Brown (Massapequan, NY) off of Felician starter Scott Van Es (Secaucus, NJ) (0-4) capped Dominican’s first-inning rally. The Chargers then received a two-run triple from Mike Maisonette (Garnerville, NY) and a run-scoring by Jose Madé (Binghamton, NY) in the top of the second.
Felician (9-12, 0-1) scored twice in the fourth inning, but left runners on second and third bases. After the Golden Falcons pulled to within 6-3 in the seventh inning, Dominican put the game away with four runs off of the Felician bullpen in the top of the eighth.
The Chargers Joseph Catanese (Huntington, NY) (1-2) was credited with the victory after working 2 2/3 innings of one-run relief with five strikeouts for starter Daniel Bucci (Dobbs Ferry, NY). Richard Melendez (Miami, FL) (2 RBI) and Ray Rose (Piscataway, NJ) were each 3 for 5 with a double for the Golden Falcons. Made and Maisonette also had three hits apiece.
