Rindge, NH (3/19/07) The Dominican College baseball team has been ranked eighth in the NCBWA Northeast Regional poll which was released today.
RINDGE, N.H. (March 19, 2007) – Off to a 12-1 start and
winners of 11-straight, Franklin Pierce has earned the top spot in
this week’s National Collegiate Baseball Writers of
America’s (NCBWA) Division II Northeast Regional poll for the
second-straight week.
Franklin Pierce (12-1, 0-0 NE-10) took all six fi rst place
votes in a poll which shows a sharp drop-off behind the Ravens (60
points) in the rankings. UMass Lowell (5-9, 0-0 NE-10) is second
with 38 points,while Assumption College (8-4, 0-0 NE-10) has moved
up to third with 33 points. LIU-C.W. Post (7-5, 0-0 ECC) is the
first non-Northeast-10 team ranked, in fourth (28 points), while
Pace University (5-8, 0-0NE-10) rounds out the top five. Fourth
through seventh place in the rankings are separated by just
threepoints. The complete top ten, with those also receiving votes,
is listed below.
