Men’s Soccer- The Chargers extended their winning streak to six games, after posting a 3-0 record for the week. Dominican now stands 7-1-0 overall and 3-0 in the CACC. Dominican handed Molloy College a 1-0 loss behind the goal of Pablo Pozo off the assist by Kyle Clancy on 9/13. On 9/15, Dominican handed CACC foe, Felician College, a 3-1 loss with Scott Silvia, Joe Ruesgan, and Ryan Clancy netting goals. Ryan Clancy and Jhonny Arteaga each had assists. The Chargers finished up the week with a 3-0 victory over Wilmington College on 9/17. Goals were scored by Ryan Clancy, Brent Gaylord and Ruesgan. Colin Hodge and Ryan Clancy each had an assist. The Chargers were ranked by the NSCAA on 9/13 in both the region and nationally. They were ranked second in the region for the second straight week and moved up to fifteenth nationally, after being ranked seventeenth the week before. This week the Chargers will travel to Post University on 9/20 at 3:30 pm. Then they will host St. Thomas Aquinas College on 9/22 for a 3:30 game.

Women’s Soccer- The Lady Chargers post a 0-0-1 record this week. The team now stands at 2-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the CACC. The game scheduled on 9/14 against Felican College was postponed due to inclement weather. On 9/17, Dominican hosted Wilmington College. Jen Ditzig netted the first goal of the game, putting the Lady Chargers up 1-0. Wilmington bounced back with two goals, but freshman Michelle Cusano netted her first collegiate goal off the assist by Angela Correia, tying the game at 2-2. The game ended after two scoreless overtime periods. This week the team will host Post University on 9/21 and will take a short road trip to St. Thomas Aquinas College on 9/24.

Women’s Volleyball- The women’s volleyball team split a conference tri-match held at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Saturday 9/17. The team now stands at 1-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Lady Chargers defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), 3-2 in the first match. Freshman outside hitter, Kinikia Collier, came up big with 21 kills and 14 digs. Senior setter Megan Earl had 33 assists. Dominican then faced host, USP and were handed a 0-3 defeat. Tara Leahy led the team with six kills in the match. Earl had 21 assists. The Lady Chargers have a busy week as they travel to Felician College on 9/21. On 9/22, Dominican will host Molloy College in a non-conference game. The team will then host a tri-match with NJIT and Holy Family University on 9/24, beginning at noon. Finally, the Lady Chargers will finish up the week with a home non-conference match against LeMoyne College at noon on 9/25.
