Wilmington, DE (5/9/09) Wilmington University clinched the 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Tournament Championship Saturday at Frawley Stadium with a 5-4 victory over top-seeded Dominican College. The Wildcats, who were the No. 3 seed for the tournament, have earned the CACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament. Dominican, which entered the week as the top-ranked team in the region, will await an at-large bid to the regional. The field will be announced Sunday night.

McGREGOR LEADS POST TO FOURTH CONSECUTIVE CACC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
Middletown, DE (4/21/09) Post University won its fourth consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Championship with a dominating performance today at Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown, Del. After rain postponed Monday's opening round, both rounds of the tournament were played Tuesday. The Eagles opened the day with a first round total of 283 and finished with a 568. Sophomore David McGregor was the individual champion for the second consecutive season with a two-round total of 137 (68, 69). All five Eagles were named to the All-Conference team.

New Haven, CT (9/11/08) Eighty-four student-athletes representing the 13 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) institutions convened at Georgian Court University on Sunday, Sept. 7, to participate in the first annual Silly Olympics for Wishes. The Silly Olympics, which helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, was the brainchild of the CACC Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). With the help of the student-athletes and numerous administrators around the conference, the event was a huge success and raised a significant amount of money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

New Haven, CT (8/21/08) Bloomfield College and Georgian Court University were selected to win their respective divisions for the second consecutive season as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball preseason poll was released today. Bloomfield was a unanimous pick to win the North Division with 78 points. Georgian Court picked up 90 points to top the South Division, while being chosen first on 12 of 13 ballots. The 13 head coaches conducted the voting.

The voting was conducted by the CACC head coaches. Holy Family garnered seven first-place votes and 138 overall points, while Philadelphia picked up 136 points and five first-place nods.

NEW HAVEN, CT (8/12/08) - Wilmington University is the preseason favorite to win the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer regular-season championship, according to preseason balloting released today. The Wildcats received 113 points and four first-place votes to top the poll. Dominican College garnered the most first-place votes with five, but finished second with 107 total points. Four schools picked up at least one first-place nod in voting that was conducted by the 11 head coaches in the league.
